Exostosis removal

Exostosis removal

Both in the mandibular and maxillary jaw bony outgrowths can be observed. They do not pose any threat. However, they should be removed if removable prosthesis was planned. Otherwise, prosthesis will not fit or will cause sores.  A simple surgery is performed under local anesthesia.

The incision is usually sutured.

No postoperative swelling is present in most cases.
