Malocclusion or crooked teeth are common problems that can be prevented while the child is growing up. As your child’s jaws develop, it is advisable to correct abnormalities in the bite and position of the teeth. In the clinic, we will identify the cause and type of malocclusion.
If you start bite correction and treatment earlier, it will be more effective. Adult bite treatment takes much longer, is more complex and takes more time to get used to the appliances that help correct a crooked bite.
However, if it’s not too late, the use of dental plates to correct and straighten misaligned teeth can help. Such orthodontic treatment is effective when children’s jaws are still forming, during the period of intense growth (12-14 years). It is during this period that bite correction and management can produce the best results.
