Types of braces: metal, beligature, tooth-coloured, sapphire, INVISALIGN caps.
Braces are non-removable orthodontic appliances that are fixed on the surface of the teeth. There are many types of braces, which vary in design, aesthetics and strength. The most commonly used braces are metal braces, which can be traditional (with wires and elastics) or ligatureless (e.g. DAMON). Ceramic braces, which are tooth-coloured and therefore look very aesthetically pleasing, are increasingly used. Sapphire braces are also available in translucent form. One of the newest orthodontic treatments in Lithuania is INVISALIGN, which uses thin, translucent, virtually invisible special caps to straighten teeth.
