What are the methods of teeth bleaching?

Teeth can be bleached at home or in the dental office. Teeth bleaching at home usually takes 10-14 days. There are a variety of strips and special arches for teeth whitening, but the most effective way of domestic whitening is teeth bleaching with trays. Special individualized tray, representing the dental arch form is made for the patient. Special bleaching agent is applied inside the tray. The patient must wear the tray for a few hours a day as prescribed for at least 10 days. During the entire period of bleaching tooth sensitivity is increased, so you should avoid staining foods, coffee, tea, red wine, smoking. When bleaching in-office, higher concentration bleaching gel is used and the result is achieved especially fast. In order to enhance the effect a laser and special lamps may be used. Usually onetime procedure is enough to achieve the desired effect. Teeth sensitivity is increased for one day after the procedure. Staining foods and drinks as well as smoking should be avoided for two more days. Both ways are good and effective, but bleaching with dental trays requires a lot of effort and patience, while it takes only one visit at the dentist, if in-office bleaching is chosen. However, such bleaching is approximately twice as expensive compared to teeth bleaching at home.
