Braces are non-removable orthodontic appliances designed to be attached to a tooth’s surface. Braces have a metal bracket with elastic (rubber band) ties (ligatures) holding the wire onto the metal brackets. Such braces are the most popular at the moment, made of high quality alloys. Not all metal braces are the same. Different system’s braces differ in form, fixation, convenience of use.

Nowadays, new generation self-ligating braces (e.g. DAMON) are becoming more and more popular and it is for a reason: these braces offer better esthetics, fewer teeth extracted due to treatment, fewer dental appointments, shorter treatment time, however, they are more expensive than conventional metal braces.

Ceramic braces, which almost perfectly match a color of a tooth, are also kicking in. Usually they are applied on teeth in esthetic zone. For the most demanding patients we offer sapphire Inspire ICE braces. These braces reflect natural tooth’s color therefore making them practically invisible.

Braces are chosen individually, according to patient’s needs and case specifics. If one decides to choose a treatment with braces, one must prepare for 1 to 2.5 years of treatment, frequent dental appointments (every 4-8 weeks) and maintain good oral hygiene.

When having braces, special tooth brushes and other special equipment for oral hygiene is recommended.
