Vestibuloplasty

This is a procedure when amount of attached, keratinized gingiva is increased.

Attached gingiva improves removable prostheses retention, and creates more favorable conditions for dental implant longevity. Loss of attached gingiva appears in the prolonged absence of teeth in one area or in case of complete edentulism. This results in bone atrophy.

Surgical techniques are highly variable and dependent on the extent and localization.

Postoperative swelling may be present for 2-4 days.
