The treatment plans vary depending on your personal choice, normally intervals of about 6 months are sufficient. Professional teeth cleaning is performed combining Air-flow and Ultrasound scaler. The Air-flow is ideal for removing of plaque. By using a jet formed by a mixture of air, powder and water, the AIR-FLOW removes dental plaque, soft deposits and surface stains from pits, grooves, interproximal spaces and smooth surfaces of the teeth. We use sophisticated KAVO PROPHYFLEX 3 system.
Scaling is a procedure to remove calculus (tartar), soft deposits (plaque) and stains from the teeth by using the Ultrasound scaler. It makes the procedure for the removal of calculus more time-effective and delivering higher patient comfort. Scaling is procedure that meticulously removes contamination toxins, micro-organisms, plaque, tartar, cementum, dentin that is rough and/or permeated by calculus from around, below and under the gum line down to the bottom of the pocket. This is done to remove biofilm, calculus, and toxin in order to obtain a healing response. Dental hygienists are specially trained to work with the dentist in giving care to patients.
